asked:
I think they do. To be better at something you aren’t good at usually entails visualizing yourself doing that thing you want to be better at. Being the best at it.
What do you think?
Of course it’s not all about visualization. You have to get out and do it, I assumed that was obvious. But it helps when you aren’t very good at something to have your dreams to back you up and drive you onward.

Hmm, I wonder … but am I getting any better at it?

Nope. Unless it has something to do with creativity. Visualizing yourself doing that thing you wanna do to be better at it has nothing to do with being better at it. You must practice or study it to become better at it.

Not always, if you spend all your time dreaming, you never do anything.

i agree, but because I believe that you have to visualise what you would want to be - to know what you want to become…I think it is a mistake to want to be like someone else, we have to want to just be ourselves at our best.

Self improvement requires self reflection.
Imagine limiting imagination to ones self.
Ridiculous.

For self they also need to be selfactualized to reach ones ultimate vision of reality.
